Making toys for your doggy friends
Does your husband have old shirts he no longer wants or needs? If your answer is yes then you can use that to make a dog toy. I will teach you an easy start for your first time and as you get better you can step it up for fun.
Find your weapon (What you need)
Old T-shirts, scissors...that's it! (Sweet tip: If possible, use different colored shirts and keep them plain. No printed shirts)
Get started!
Cut the hem of the shirt up to sleeve (or if the shirt has no side hem, then cut sides), then cut straight up to the other sleeve. Cut from the start of the sleeve to the other side. The finished product should be 2 fabric squares.
Get cutting
Fold the shirt in half. This ensures that both sides are even when you cut the strips. Cut all strips the same size. For extra precaution, cut along the unfolded side up to the folded side but not all the way through. Keep doing this until it looks like a hula skirt. Unfold the shirt and cut the spine across.
Pull and braid!
Pull the strips so that it will be longer and OK for dogs to pull. The fun part is the braid! The braid I used was the square knot or the royal crown sinnet knot. You can look it up on Youtube. It takes time to learn but patience and persistence is key.

Braid directions
The following are the steps to the square knot. I found them from a google search. If the instructions don't help, there is tutorials on square knots on Youtube.

The following are the steps to the square knot. I found them from a google search. If the instructions don't help, there is tutorials on square knots on Youtube.
- 1Separate four cords, using a different color for each cord. Although you can use the same color cords, different colors allow you to keep track of the knotting process as you master the skill. If you are making the crown sinnet knot, double the length of the cord. The weaving process shortens the original cord length.
- 2Tie the four cords together.
3
Position the binded cords horizontally. Separate the four cords into an "X" pattern. For instance, gently pull the top cord to your upper right and the bottom cord to your lower left. Open the two remaining cords to your upper left and lower left, forming an "X".- 4Form a loop by taking the lower right cord and looping it over the upper right cord. It appears like a reverse number "four." It is important to loop the remaining cords loosely to weave the knot.
- 5Loop the upper right cord and loop it over the upper left cord. An over and under pattern weave begins to emerge as you form the loops.
- 6Loop the upper left cord and loop it over the lower left cord. The base of the knot appears.
- 7Pull the cords to tighten until a center knot emerges. Pull the remaining cord tails back into the "X" pattern as in Step 3.
- 8Reverse the weaving direction by taking the upper right cord and loop it over the lower right cord. This process becomes a bit tricky because the upper right cord will sit looped below the original lower left cord. The weaving patterns appears as if you are looping over two cords at a time.
- 9Loop the lower right cord over the lower left cord.
- 10
- 11Take the upper left cord and loop it over the upper right. This step changes the direction of the knot to form the second weaved pattern.
- 12
- 13Continue to knot the sinnet in an alternating pattern by repeating Steps 4 through 7 and then reversing the weave by repeating Steps 8 through 12. You will continue to alternate the weave until you reach your desired length. All done! It's hard to explain it without really seeing it in front of you but I hope it helped. Now the picture was late at night so my dog was lazy modeling the toy. In the day she is always playing with it and loves it. It wont cost you cash and it's a fun way to pass the time reuse material.Have a Sweet day!

how to make curtains. (Easy)
My husband and I moved into a house but we had no curtains for the kitchen. The window is really long and it was hard fining a curtain for the size we needed and that look nice as well.
Some were not pretty looking and I thought, "I can make one easy and fast." So I went fabric hunting. I found one I loved and it cost around $8 with more than enough to work with. The curtain rod was $12 so total cost $20. Good huh?! I will show you how to make your own.
To make the sleeve, fold the top side to the pre-detemined size. I made the sleeve 3 inches. Pin the fold and sew it together.

Install the curtains and you are done!
Find your weapons (what you need)
You will need: A sewing machining, fabric of your choice, thread, scissors, ruler or anything you have to measure, and pins.
Measure your windows to get the correct dimensions. MAKE SURE THE DIMENSIONS ARE CORRECT! I advise you to measure twice. Depending on the window size and style, add whatever you think may look nice to the size of your measurements. That way the finished product isn't too short.
Decide how many curtain panels (if any) you would like before you actually cut the fabric. That way you can add an extra inch for hemming. For my window I made 4 panels.
Get Cutting!
Now we get to the fun part. Cut your fabric to the dimensions you have prepared. Make sure to add extra for the border hemming and the curtain rod sleeve. Once everything has been cut, use pins to hold the folds that will become the hems and curtain rod sleeve.
Get Sewing!
Sew one side at a time. Don't try to rotate the fabric at the corners. Take your time to get the cleanest and straightest stitching. Once the three bottom sides are done we can work on sewing the sleeve. To make the sleeve, fold the top side to the pre-detemined size. I made the sleeve 3 inches. Pin the fold and sew it together.
Install the curtains and you are done!
Feel free to offer your feedback and make sure to send me your pictures of the curtains you made! Thank you!
Let's talk anime and manga!
Anime is Japanese cartoons and manga is Japanese comics. I love reading manga and watching anime. What's your favorite and why? I want to show another side of me and what I like so why not!
1st when I was a kid and didn't know what anime was... Sailor moon. The 1st I watch when I knew what anime was Inuyasha and I loved it.
I'm reading vampier knight and lots of different kinds of manga. Which would take to long to talk about.
I'm not into the blood and guts kind. To much for me. I love the funny corny lovely kind. Like ouran high school host club or fruit basket. The only dark kind was into was death note.
I cosplay at a few events and thinking of going to an event next weekend. I'm not to sure yet and don't know who to dress like.
I made a cosplay outfit of Nel with an hand made hollow mask. I also dresses as Sakura from shippuden. If you wish to see the funny pix let me know. ( it was in my younger days high school days lol)
Well here is another side of me and I hope to get to know you the readers. Feel free to talk to me. My husband an fan as well and is an artist as well. So we share the same like... I'm just more open about it. Bye for now and have a sweet night.
